Colour Palettes

Ok team, these are the kind of colours we talked about after class, they're in Pantone but i couldnt get the names up.....let me know what you thik and im happy to mix n match and then post the final pallete that we all can use!

We may need to add another lighter colour for summer, but we'll get to that if we need to.

Guys ... Im lovin thhis stella mccartney's colour combination.

Somehitng black and white with a hint of bright, shocking colour which maybe a nice colour palette fro winter... , what do u guys think ?

Anthony that is great! I like the flow and story created by the themes and I think thats what we need to get our colour palletes started and then designs. The swing tags are good, I think if we all make up a couple and then we could ask Feride for her opinion maybe?

Hey guys it's Dom,

Firstly just want to say thank you too all of you for understanding my situation and helping me out when i really needed it. I love our group!!!!!!!

Holly, the video is amazing and i love all of the imagery used. It truly visualy portrays my thoughts on the look of our brand. I hope im making sence.

Ok now, down to buisness,
By next tuesday as individuals we need to have started generating some ideas on

• colour palettes and
• swing tags

Im only saying this because i have a feeling that if we dont start some of these little things it will be harder for us latter on. By friday we should also have our stories worked out, what do you guys think???

im planning on doing lots of studio studdy this weekend so i can catch up. (Im stressing out and its really too early in the year for this isnt it, he he he crazzzyyyy me!)

so the themes we have for the stories so far are

• love letters
• secret admierer
• stolen kisses
• serenade (tara, I think its a good one)

Thats all i we have so far, if anyone thinks of any more or wishes to change some of these please do so =)

Ashley has done some work on colour palettes that i think is really cool, is there a way of putting it up here for all to see??? Do you mind if we do that Ashley?

i think that we should definitely sort out the sub-theme/stories etc. we don't have a clear list of the 6 different ones do we? i was thinking about other possibilities and i thought maybe 'serenade'? i'm not sure what you guys think, let me know. if you think it's lame thats completely ok :)

Hey Guys!

By now the blog has been set up, I've put in a header and edited some small things around the place. Dom has even started to be tech savvy (she's proud of her spec template- cant wait to see it!) and nearly everyones made a post! So i guess we should start updating here as much as possible and use it as both a network and a resource pool so that we can all translate and share our visions for the label.

I tried putting in a slideshow gadget So that we can share images, but it wants a source album and I didn't want to complicate things by adding a missive photobucket account, what do you think?

Apart from this, one of the main things I picked up from the last time we spoke was the need to think of themes for each drop. The basic umbrella theme I think was along the lines of "secret admirer/ private things/ love letters/ romancy classy sexy" (Maybe its not completely clarified yet?!) I think ashle wrote down some of the things we said in the caff so maybe we could comment on this post with some sub theme ideas or the direction we all might want to go in?

I made a little video/ slideshow response to this idea of letters after we talked that day, my computer has been freezy so its been hard to save it without complete hardware doom. All the images were free stock photos, I'll add the link at the top of this post so you guys can find and use them too, stock images are good because we dont need to worry so much about licensing and stuff!

Its not awesome, and its likely to look worse on the blog itself so if you want to see it bigger here's the youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYsy6Ru3dvQ I found imagery that alluded to typing, letters and a central heroine that helps narrate the theme of the range (much like the latest elle collection did)

(videos from your computer are really easy to put into the blog, theres a little icon second from the right, as well as add image and link buttons.)

This weekend I'm going to research some colour trends for our chosen season of Autumn/Winter and possibly think up a few more "secret" themes.
